Long overdue post
I've been really excited by photography lately. It's enticing to capture a moment in time and remember it forever. Also, on a perfectionist note, I love taking photos that are very detailed and properly capture the light. A few weeks ago, I was a photography assistant for this company called Digital Days. They teach photography workshops to people with beginner to advanced experience. You can check out their website here. Aside from gaining professional work experience, I learned some additional photography information. The instructors were professional photographers Leslie Fisher and Mark Reis who have worked for Apple and Sports Illustrated respectively. They were very helpful and super nice! I learned a lot and had fun helping every one out. I hope to continue interacting in future photography opportunities.
Here's some photos I snuck in while I was assisting with the model shoots. I haven't had the chance to edit some of them in Photoshop yet, but I would like to soon.
Not sure if I like the close by American flag or if it bothers me. Luckily, I could always edit that out.
And here's some behind the scenes photos:
Well that's all for now, I'll add more later.

background studies
I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for backgrounds for my degree project. It's definitely going to be music themed, but I don't want them to be fully illustrated. I want them to be very colorful and slightly abstract. I'm very much inspired by Mary Blair and backgrounds from UPA artists. The film Gay Purr-ee is a huge inspiration for me as well.
I want to incorporate the music staffs into the backgrounds, but I'm not at all satisfied yet.
Also, an earlier background. I'm definitely interested in orange and blue color schemes.

DP progress
I'm so happy! I've been frustrated with my little girl character design for my degree project. I was having problems making her look the way I wanted and also match my original sketchy designs. I finally had a breakthrough with this first image, but after showing it to some people I realized she looked too old. She doesn't look like a young girl. Also, the image is sloppy to me. I wanted this to be more smooth. And now I'm finally happy with her! I have so much more work to do, but at least I'm really excited now!
